Nice, Well-Behaved Dossier Looking For a Good Home. Paper-Trained. Won't Bite.

Our dossier came out of the MFA on Monday! Three cheers for that!!!
(I updated our timeline, which can now be found in the right margin.)

However, our region assignment is still up in the air.

The Little Miracles team is trying to find the best region for us. But that, my friends, is easier said than done. Adoption in Kaz is mostly a regionally-administered process, and each region has its pros and cons. Andrea is kind enough to openly discuss them with us before a decision is made, and for that we are most appreciative.

I just wanted to share a quick update. Sorry I'm not feeling very witty or creative tonight. Just a little tense and anxious actually. The stress of this pivotal decision got the best of me today.

So let's all just enjoy this piece of art we finally had framed for the baby's room. It's a sweet painting of the Tuscan countryside that we bought in Tuscany during our trip to Italy last fall. We found it in the tiny Medieval village of San Gimignano. It looks really great in the room.

Congratulations!!! I hope your paper trained dossier will soon find a nice home! Tuscan countryside, I wish I was there now! I love the painting. It`s so nice and simple!

Love the painting.
Congrats on moving along in the process. It's exciting!!! So many dossiers are moving along, it's really cool to follow the journey's.
It is a exciting/scary/anxious time though, so I completely understand your thoughts/fears, etc.

We don't have a region yet either, and only a guess that we'll travel in 3,4, or 5 months. :)
Vagueness anyone? or, that could change.

Definitely a pivotal moment in the whole adoption process, but how exciting. Soon you will find out where exactly Habibi is waiting for you to come and bring him/her home! The painting is beautiful. We visited San Gimignano and felt like it was straight out of a fairy tale, so what a perfect painting for the baby's room.

Presumably, the MFA is not the Mutha-F*$&# Adminstrative (process) :)

Hurrah for one more step completed!

You're doing a great job staying calm about this -- big decisions are the hardest to make, but soon you can keep moving forward.

And that is a beautiful picture -- is that your house in the foreground, with the light of your Habibi, glowing for you at the far end of those paperwork hills?

So good to hear about movement with your dossier!!! Good luck to you on making a decision about the region. I am sure it will all work out fine! Get yourself prepared now because the next few months will fly by and before you know it you will be flying over to Kaz!

Great news that the dossier has left the building... I know it must be stressful deciding on a region, but I am sure Haibibi is sending vibes from where he/she wants you to end up and all will work out to bring you together. Love the painting. Looks like it matches the room perfectly.

That's great news that you're out of MFA! Don't stress too much about the region decision, it will all work out perfect in the end and what's meant to be will happen!

Congrats on getting out of the MFA!!! That must be a fantastic feeling:) Best wishes in decision on a region. I think deep in your heart you will know which one is right for you. One step closer to Kaz...

Love the painting! Makes me want to go to Italy!!

That's great that you are another step closer... possibly very close! I'd cheer for Semey but since they are no longer waiving the 2 week waiting period, they lost points. But the process seems to be very smooth there and the children are all lovely. In the end you'll go where your child is waiting for you so don't stress about it too much.

When I first read the last paragraph, I saw "Tucson countryside" and I thought, "Why on earth do they want a picture of Tucson scenery in their nursery?!?!!? LOL!

I'm glad to hear you're out of MFA, but can sympathize with the regional part. In all honestly, when we received our referral, my first thought was about the picture, but my second was, "Petro? Petro?! I really didn't want to go to Petro God! That wasn't one of my top 3 picks!" I am sooooo glad it worked out the way it did though. Petro will forever be one of my "homes." It was such a wonderful place and I feel such a connection to it. I hope that you are able to work through all the thoughts on your mind and reach some peace. I have no doubt that once you get to wherever your child is at, you too will feel a forever connection with that city.

Congrats! We might just end up over there at the same time! I know what you mean about region. You guys seem flexible and creative, so you'll be "home" wherever your child is. Love, love, love the painting! Very warm and comforting.

Congratulations on the movement into the MOE! I hope your region assignment happens very quickly. That's exactly where I'm sitting right now... waiting on a region. (By the way, I loved your friend Nell's explanation of the "MFA" acronym above. I'm jotting that down in my journal, for sure. :^)
Ha ha ha!!!!

Hi, Regina and Frank! This is Lisa of kazadventure.wordpress.com.
I have been reading and enjoying your blog for awhile and have been meaning to introduce myself, but I don't think I have yet (lots of things running through my mind these days!) Congratulations on your dossier movement! Ours is still at the MFA and probably will be for at least another month. Anyway, thanks for allowing us to follow along! Best wishes to you!

I love the painting, and I can't wait to hear about Kazarina or Kazarino ;-)

I've left two comments prior, but must screw something up for them not to show. So if THREE comments suddenly appear it's not Shannon being vain, it's Shannon being freaking stupid!!!!!

Uh, Shannon (I mean, anon)
