Computer Problems

We are having an issue with internet access on our computer, but we hope to have it resolved soon. We are at an internet cafe -- which is not even a cafe -- just a yellow room with about 6 computers. It costs 7 tenge per minute.

We just wanted to let everyone know we are still doing well. We expect to be flying out of Aqtobe on June 1, and out of Almaty on June 2 if all goes according to plan.

Glad to hear all is going well with the exception of the computer problems.

Just to update you - Suz & Matt will be leaving Almaty on June 2nd as well and Shannon will also be in Almaty going home on June 4th. How nice if you guys can somehow meet up?

Continued blessings.

Been thinking about you guys! Sorry to hear about the computer problems. I'm sure it's frustrating. We have Vista on our laptop and are worried we'll have problems when we're in Kaz.

Glad you were able to post an update!!

Take care,
Eileen

Technology can be a wonderful yet incredibly frustrating thing! I'm having major issues with IE7 (at least still on XP) at the moment and IT just wants to swap my laptop for a refurbed one instead. No way -- not at this point! Hope you can get your Vista issue resolved soon.

June 1. Can't believe your first trip is nearly over. I'm sure the thought of leaving little Milo behind is heartwrenching, but remember you will be one step closer to bringing him home forever.

Wow, is it my imagination or has this first trip just totally flown by? From this side of the world it seems like you only just arrived a few days ago.

I suppose I can deal with the computer issues now if only you promise to inundate us with pictures and video once you're home. :-)

I hope you get to enjoy every last drop of the next few days. No amount will be enough, I know, to tide you over for a month.

Sorry you are having Vista issues. Hopefully you guys can get the bugs worked out when you get back. Enjoy every minute with Milan and before you know it, it will be time to turn around and bring him home again, this time FOREVER! I hope we can get together and have a chat fest before you guys go back! Safe travels!!!

Hi Regina, if you are able to view my blog www.ourjourneyto5.blogspot.com I wanted you to see a slideslow with my family and Catalina's family just home 10 days. It's amazing what love can already do! Carolyn is also on the video -- she's home 6 months. Not sure if you are aware of her blog. Best to you as you approach the final countdown for trip 1 to being home your baby boy!

My computer has been down also! I was so looking forward to seeing pictures and I must say....you did not let me down. Milo is Beautiful and such a sweet pumpkin! Our Nick has strabismus also. Wears glasses and it has improved to almost perfect. He does not need surgery as his was most likely caused by amblyopia which I believe is the word for far-sightedness. When we got his glasses I was shocked as they are COKE bottle size but he has adjusted well! It is such a blessing that Milo will be getting help so young. They told us that the longer it goes the more non-repairable it can be. Nick was 3. The funny thing is initially when they are starting to see what we perceive as normal, They do not see as we see because of all of the compensation. Nick would constantly look over or under his glasses. He looked like a little old man/professor....fit right in to our family because Papa is a Univ. Prof! :) So thrilled for you both and Milo! What a sweet family you make!

Obviously you will have to run interference for him because there will be a lot of cheek pinchers out there who won't be able to resist!!!

Still checking in on your guys and keeping you in our thoughts. I wonder if time is flying by for you?! We can't wait to "chat" when you are home about the ins and outs of two and three trips. Ugh. Can't wait to see more photos of your beautiful guy. Hope you can connect with Shannon if you're laid-over in Almaty.

The first part of the journey is almost over. Can't wait to have you home again. And that part of your journey will fly by...I just know it. The girlie girls are so excited to see pictures of their cousin - we're sitting down Saturday to view them all together on the computer. So glad you kept up with the blog before the computer problems kicked in! Good luck with everything and have a safe flight back to us!!! XOXOXOX

as frustrating as it is, it is good to know it was "just" the computer connection. Whew. You had me worried. Safe travels and a virtual hug to your Prince.

Hey Guys, Congratulations! like some of the others it seems like you only left last week. while i was perusing some music today i came across this ode to a new child.

Seems like only yesterday. Life belong to runaways. Nothing here to see, no looking back. Every sound monotone. Every color monochrome. Life begin to fade into the black. Such a simple animal. Sterilized with alcohol. I could hardly feel me anymore. Desperate, meaningless. All filled up with emptiness. Felt like everything was said and done.

I lay there in the dark, I close my eyes. You saved me the day you came alive.
Still I try to find my way. Spending hours, endin' days. Burning like a flame behind my eyes. Drown in out, drink it in. Crown the king of suffering. Prisoner, slave 'til in the skies. Disappeared the only thing. Bittersweet surrendering. Knew that it was time to say goodbye.
I lay there in the dark and I close my eyes. You saved me the day that you came alive. The reason you left me to survive. You saved me the day you came alive.
Come alive.
Nothing more to give. I can finally come alive. Your life into me. I can finally breathe.

This was written by Dave Grohl of Nirvana and now of the Foo Fighters.

i think we can accomodate some 12 month little boy hand me downs, we'll try to drop them off before you guys get home.

Take care and safe travels.

Thinking of you and keeping my fingers crossed that your travels home will go without a hitch. Frank - run away from the lavatory on the plane if anyone has been smoking in it! I still can't get over that one!

There are quite a few Ruopoli fans out here pulling for you and waiting for words and photos! Okay...we're two of them!

Take care & safe travels,
Eileen & Pat

How wonderful to see your family photo. The videos are great. Looks like you are having the time of your lives.

Safe travels back home, I'm sure it will fly by fast and before you know it you will be back in kaz picking up your little cutie.

Is Bayanna going to go play with Milo while you are gone? She sometimes can do that which is nice for the kids to continue have a visitor.
